| In my early painting years I gravitated towards portraits, I would paint any
interesting photo I would come across. I now paint only from life, I enjoy trying to capture a little something more than just a likeness in the model, something you can't see in a photo. The portraits are usually finished in a three hour session, I may go back to work on the background, but I find once the model is gone, I rarely go back to work on their image. I am the current President of the "Taos Society of Portrait Artists". |
